Ahmed is passionate about the role of social and emotional intelligence in individual and organizational success. To consummate this interest, he has completed a Master’s degree in Human Development, Learning, and Culture (Educational Psychology) from The University of British Columbia, with a focus on social and emotional learning.
Ahmed is also certified in the EQ-in-Action and the EQ-I assessment instruments, as well as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). Ahmed’s previous education includes a master’s degree in economics, earned at The University of Texas at Austin.
Prior to consulting, Ahmed was responsible for managing a highly visible program of operational risk in fifteen countries across Asia as senior VP at a global financial institution. In previous roles, Ahmed has created a leadership development program for new entrants, partnered with internal clients on governance, performance measurement, systems development, and training matters, and trained professionals from around the world and at all levels of the organization.
Originally from Karachi (Pakistan), Ahmed has additionally lived and worked in Austin (Texas), New York, San Francisco, and Hong Kong.
